Fees for transfers are as follows

I can thread the barrels 1/2-28, 9/16-32, and other standard thread patterns for you. The barrels must be at least 16.25" from the bolt face to the muzzle. I have encountered several so-called 16" barrels which have a recessed muzzle; if they were to be threaded, the barrel length would fall below 16" and would be subject to NFA rules. I can use barrels which are shorter, but they will have to have the flash hider permanently attached. I can also do short NFA length barrels, but I need verification of registration with the NFA branch.

Here are the fees I charge for barrel threading. Whenever possible, I prefer the barrels to come in already stripped:

If you provide a stripped non-tapered "bull" barrel (removed from the upper receiver): $50.00; tapered barrels can be threaded but there will be an increase in cost due to the increased time involved.

If the barrel is attached to the upper receiver and requires dismounting and remounting, there is a $25.00 increase for the time to pull and reinstall the barrel. This does not include removal of "exotic" rail systems; these will be priced on a case-by-case basis.

If the length of the barrel is too short and requires a flash hider to be permanently attached, one can be permanently attached by several different methods. Please contact NFA Investments for a quote specific to your needs.

My hours of operation are by appointment only, generally outside of regular business hours. Weekends are sometime available on an emergency basis or when extenuating circumstances are present. Turnaround time is usually less than 48 hours and may be the same day in some cases. As this is a part-time vocation and is not my primary occupation, my schedule can be erratic. I will always try and work with you to get the work done as soon as possible. Sorry, I will not work on items while customers wait or watch.

AK47 Barrel Threading Service

I can thread most post-ban type AK47 barrels with the standard 14mm by 1mm left hand metric thread for use with a flash hider. This threading is NOT FOR SILENCERS - ONLY FOR FLASH HIDERS! This is because the barrels are threaded by hand, and not on a lathe. The cost for this is $25.00.
